The Beyond the Conference experience includes:

    • * Weekly live presentations by our major and spotlight speakers from the Atlanta Program (via Zoom) every Tuesday from October 5 through December 14, 2021 at 7:00 PM Eastern Time. These will be recorded and updated each week.
    •
    • * More than 60 pre-recorded sessions from our Atlanta program.
    •
    • * Recordings from our September 2021 NCSM Celebration, including our Keynote Gloria Ladson-Billings
    •

All recordings will be accessible during the 90 day viewing period on the Beyond the Conference website.

NCSM prides itself on creating opportunities for mathematics leaders to connect with other leaders, reflect on their current reality, in order to make intentional leadership actions to improve student learning for all. The live sessions will be opportunity to ask questions and grapple with current mathematics leadership issues with other leaders on next steps for your BOLD math leadership journey.

All Beyond the Conference participants will receive a certificate and digital badge for participating.

Help Support Harper-Archer Elementary School Mathematics

The NCSM board strives to more actively support equity and access in all of their work. As NCSM hosts their annual meetings in different cities each year, we brainstormed ways to support local schools and mathematics leaders that serve traditionally marginalized students.

Last spring, in conjunction with the local arrangements chair for Atlanta, Dr. Pamela Seda, we selected a local school to support and planned a special fundraising raffle during the Atlanta conference. Since we were not able to meet in Atlanta, we have moved the fundraising event to Beyond the Conference.

NCSM identified Harper-Archer Elementary School as our first school to begin this tradition and here is a brief video from Harper Archer Principal, Dr. Dione Simon and Mathematics Instructional Specialist Jadasea Moore:

We hope you will consider joining us in donating to support the mathematics program at Harper-Archer Elementary School.

We will work with the principal on the campus, in collaboration with curriculum specialists, to determine how the money raised from generous donors like you can best help teachers help students in that school.
